Bro. Josh Jackson became the pastor of Austin Chapel in March of 2024. He previously served as pastor of Mt Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Denison, Texas for 11 years.  Josh graduated from the Louisiana Missionary Baptist Institute & Seminary in Minden.

Josh is a powerful speaker and is passionate about exalting Christ and being true to preaching His Word. You can see his passion in every sermon he preaches.

Josh was 24 years old when God called him to preach after attending a church camp at Bogg Springs Baptist Camp in Arkansas. He met his wife, Melinda, at MBSF (Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship) while they were both attending the University of Arkansas in Monticello. They were married in 2003 and now have 3 wonderful children: Jayden, Abby & Maddie.

Some of Josh's hobbies include spending time with his wife and children, fishing, camping, hunting and Razorback football.
